Role Overview
As a Software Engineer on AI Platform, you will build the foundation every RoVR agent runs on: the services, data models, workflow orchestration, and integrations that connect our agents to EHRs, fax, telephony, and payers across many clinics.
You will own systems that must be fast, reliable, and secure, because they carry real patient data and real clinic operations. You'll help define the technical roadmap and the infrastructure we'll run on for years. We are hiring for this role across Senior and Staff levels.
What You'll Do
Build highly concurrent, asynchronous Python services that orchestrate agents and long-running workflows.
Design schemas and data models for multi-tenant clinical and operational data, and keep queries and caches fast as we scale.
Build and harden integrations with EHRs, fax, telephony, and payer systems.
Run durable workflow and queueing infrastructure with retries, idempotency, and clear failure handling.
Protect patient data: access control, audit logging, encryption, and HIPAA-grade security practices.
Drive code reviews and technical design, and raise the bar for quality and reliability across the team.
What You Have
5+ years of backend engineering experience, primarily in Python.
Fluency in async Python and SQL; expert in database schema design.
Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks, Postgres, Redis, queueing systems, and AWS.
A track record building distributed systems that run reliably at scale.
You deeply understand the performance of the code you write.
Nice to have: workflow engines, vector databases, multi-tenant SaaS, or healthcare integrations.
